The Role
PONS is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Head of Cloud & Security to oversee our cloud infrastructure and ensure the security and integrity of our platform. If you are an ambitious, strategic thinker with a deep understanding of cloud technologies and cybersecurity, we want you on our team!
Responsibilities and Tasks
- Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of PONS's cloud infrastructure on Azure. Oversee the deployment and management of Kubernetes clusters and Docker containers. Ensure the scalability, reliability, and performance of cloud-based applications and services.
- Develop and enforce comprehensive security policies, procedures, and protocols. Conduct regular security assessments, vulnerability scans, and penetration testing. Implement and manage security measures to protect against cyber threats and data breaches.
- Manage monitoring tools to ensure system health and performance. Optimize cloud resources for cost-efficiency and performance. Analyze system metrics and logs to identify and resolve issues proactively.
- Oversee the development and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines to ensure seamless deployment processes. Collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate security best practices into the development lifecycle.
- Manage and secure integration of AI technologies within the platform.
- Lead and mentor a team of cloud engineers and security professionals. Collaborate with other departments to integrate security into all aspects of the platform. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and security awareness within the organization.
- Develop and implement incident response plans. Lead the response to security incidents, including investigation, mitigation, and reporting.
- Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations, such as ISO27001:2022, SOC & GDPR. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of cybersecurity trends and best practices.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
- Extensive experience with Azure Cloud services and infrastructure management. Proven expertise in cybersecurity, including threat modelling, risk assessment, and incident response. Strong understanding of DevOps practices and tools. Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and container orchestration. Experience with CI/CD pipeline development and management. Proficiency in monitoring tools and practices.
- In-depth knowledge of cloud security best practices. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent leadership and team management abilities. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, Azure Security Engineer, or similar are highly desirable.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with AI security, search indexes and Large Language Models (LLMs).
- Knowledge of compliance standards relevant to the legal industry (GDPR, ISO, etc).
- Previous experience in a senior security role within a tech or legal tech company.
- Familiarity with SQL, NoSQL and storage security measures.
- Experience with automation tools and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Terraform).
