The Role

We’re seeking a Senior AI/ML Engineer to lead the development and optimization of AI-driven features in our dispute resolution platform. If you excel in designing and deploying advanced AI models, particularly Large Language Models (LLMs), and thrive in a dynamic, innovative environment, this role is for you.

Responsibilities and Tasks

• AI/ML Development: Design, build, and optimize LLMs and other AI models to enhance case analysis, document processing, and dispute resolution workflows.
• Integration: Seamlessly integrate AI models with PONS Application and Data Factory for real-time data processing and insights.
• Model Optimization: Fine-tune AI models for performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency on cloud platforms (GCP/Azure).
• Collaboration: Work with software engineers, data scientists, lawyers, and product teams to align AI features with user needs.
• Data Pipeline: Pre-process, clean, and index legal data.
• Innovation: Research and implement state-of-the-art AI techniques; propose enhancements to platform capabilities.
• Quality Assurance: Ensure AI model reliability through rigorous testing, validation, and monitoring.
• Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve AI-related technical issues promptly.

Required Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s in Computer Science, AI, Data Science, or related field; Master’s or PhD preferred.
• Experience:
• 5+ years in AI/ML development, with expertise in LLMs and NLP.
• Proficiency in Python and frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Hugging Face.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) for AI deployment.
• Knowledge of SQL/NoSQL databases for data integration.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Skills:
• Deep understanding of AI/ML best practices and model optimization.
• Excellent communication and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to mentor junior engineers and drive AI strategy.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and MLOps tools.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines for AI workflows.
• Knowledge of legal tech or dispute resolution processes.
• Contributions to open-source AI projects or a strong portfolio.
• Expertise in data preprocessing and indexing for legal datasets.
